Starting therapy often comes with lots of questions. Below you’ll find information about our practice and services. If you have additional questions or need clarification, please reach out and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

Where are you located?

Our office is located at 6507 Wilkins Ave, Suite 209 in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood. We’re in a secure building with two floors. Please note that this building does not have an elevator.

There is free street parking and a bus stop just outside our building.

What insurance do you take?

We are in network with most Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans, UPMC plans and United Healthcare plans.

We are not in-network providers for medicare or medicaid plans, including, but not limited to, UPMC for You and UPMC for Life.

Do you provide couples or family therapy?

Yes, Tori LaRussa, LPC offers family therapy. At this time, Heckman Counseling does not have a clinician specializing in couples therapy.

Do you offer virtual and in-person sessions?

Yes! All of our clinicians offer both in-person and virtual therapy sessions, so you can choose what feels best for you.

Do you take urgent messages?

Please be aware that communication through this website is not monitored for urgent matters or emergencies.

If you are in crisis or facing a life-threatening situation, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
